High Resolution | Automatic Tracking System | Convenient Animal Retrieval

Product Description

product-263-263

The GBR-Gai High-Resolution Single (Multi)-Channel Gait Analysis System is designed for precise motor function assessment in small animals. During testing, animals are placed on a transparent walkway and walk spontaneously from one end to the other. The system utilizes footprint light refraction technology and a high-speed bottom camera to capture detailed paw contact patterns in real time, while a side-view camera simultaneously records joint movements. Using deep learning and image processing algorithms, the system automatically identifies and analyzes complete gait cycles, quantifying the impact of disease models such as arthritis and nerve injury on motor function. It provides objective, high-precision data for neuroscience, orthopedics, rehabilitation medicine, and drug discovery.

Key Features & Advantages

1. High-Resolution Imaging for Fine Detail Capture
Equipped with high-sensitivity cameras, the system supports video capture at 1080p @ 120 fps (up to 720p @ 240 fps), clearly recording subtle paw contours, pressure distribution, and joint angle variations, ensuring data accuracy and depth.

2. Automated Real-Time Tracking
An integrated automatic tracking system (tracking range: 120 cm) uses a controller and stepper motor to follow the animal's movement along the walkway, keeping the subject in the optimal field of view for fully automated data acquisition.

3. Dual-View Synchronized Analysis
The system integrates ventral footprint recording with lateral joint tracking:

Ventral view: Captures paw area, pressure distribution, and step sequence.

Lateral view: Simultaneously records joint angles (knee, ankle) and limb swing dynamics.
This dual-view fusion provides a comprehensive assessment of gait and postural coordination.

4. Convenient Animal Retrieval System
A dedicated retrieval mechanism at the end of the walkway allows animals to automatically and gently return to the starting area after each trial, significantly simplifying procedures and reducing stress and human interference.

5. Enclosed Camera & Lighting System
The system features a shielded chamber with integrated dual-color LED lighting (red/green). The green LED light undergoes total internal reflection within the glass plate and scatters only when the paw contacts the surface, creating high-contrast footprints without the need for staining or labeling. This design ensures stable operation under any ambient lighting condition.

6. Adjustable Walkway Width
The walkway is 150 cm in length, with width adjustable between 4 cm and 8 cm to accommodate different rodent sizes (mice and rats), ensuring natural and comfortable movement.
